Oh snap, my age bracket is dying off faster than before

I hope this mi6 – Guardian article is fear porn fiction. Even if it is, it has a subconscious effect.

Rising deaths among white middle-aged Americans could exceed Aids toll in US
Alarming trend among less-educated 45- to 54-year-olds largely thought to be a result of more suicides and the misuse of drugs and alcohol

Where’s the outrage (and the human rights commission)?

Religions, countries, ethnicities are all meant to keep people divided. I’m ok with people identifying themselves in different ways. It’s when they exclude others that things can become dicey in a politically correct world.

Substitute “White” for “Jewish” in the following paragraph and see how long the camp would last in this PC world.

Organizers of a Jewish summer camp are defending their decision? to bar a non-Jewish boy from returning for a second summer after campers’ parents said “it is important for the camp to remain Jewish” and focused on “Jewish identity” and “Jewish pride.”

Fatherhood

Becoming a fakeologist hasn’t changed my conservative view of fatherhood or marriage. Here’s an article I would have posted years before that I still agree with.

Let’s start with the obvious: Becoming a father changes a man’s outlook. It focuses his attention. It typically encourages him to work harder and think more about the future. It tends to make him less selfish. He’ll tend to spend less time staying out late, tomcatting around with his buddies, and more time trying to be a regular citizen and a good guy. Many studies have documented these changes.

Rosa explains how it’s done at the local level.

Delphi Method:The method entails a group of experts who anonymously reply to questionnaires and subsequently receive feedback in the form of a statistical representation of the “group response,” after which the process repeats itself. The goal is to reduce the range of responses and arrive at something closer to expert consensus. The Delphi Method has been widely adopted and is still in use toda

Origins of abusive behaviour

In a rather succinct book, Erin Pizzey wrote a message that should have started change in society. I will never forget the breathtaking sense of clarity I felt as I read the very first page. Her book was called Prone to Violence, and in it she documents her experience of running the first ever domestic violence refuge, Chiswick Women’s Aid, which she founded in 1971.

Knockout game – what fun

This is nasty. Maybe the masses do need to be tamed. Is this the jungle that “law of the jungle” GHWB was talking about?

It’s a terrifying new ‘game’ called the ‘knockout game’ that’s already caused deaths in Syracuse, St. Louis and New Jersey is sweeping the nation, and it preys upon unsuspecting people walking the streets, anywhere.
