Don’t be so social

A fantastic essay on dumping your social media addiction.

In addition to his many reasons, I’ll add one more inspired by Howard Stern. Why should I spend one second of my time giving another platform my material? Material they can blow away on a whim. At least on my own server I can control what’s mine.

After careful consideration I’ve decided to opt out of participating in external social media sites. I no longer have active accounts with Twitter, Google+, Facebook, or YouTube. They’ve all been closed, deleted, or otherwise nuked.

“Good health makes a lot of sense, but it doesn’t make a lot of dollars”.

Latest raw food movie that has me thinking.

What started with an illness in our own family resulted in a life long mission of discovery and dedication to helping share what transformed my father’s health with the world. We believe that your body is worthy of good care and that nobody is more suitably qualified to care for it than yourself.

Fatherhood

Becoming a fakeologist hasn’t changed my conservative view of fatherhood or marriage. Here’s an article I would have posted years before that I still agree with.

Let’s start with the obvious: Becoming a father changes a man’s outlook. It focuses his attention. It typically encourages him to work harder and think more about the future. It tends to make him less selfish. He’ll tend to spend less time staying out late, tomcatting around with his buddies, and more time trying to be a regular citizen and a good guy. Many studies have documented these changes.

Bright light

Imagine channeling free sunlight to save electricity.  So simple it cannot be easily patented and sold.

“There was one man who installed the lights and within a month he had saved enough to pay for the essential things for his child, who was about to be born. Can you imagine?” he says.

Bad ad for meat

player family farmers from gads hill on pork meat

I have always eaten meat.

In my ongoing discovery of what’s true and what’s not, I am slowly discovering that the closer we eat to our original, intended diets the better our health will be.

Like 9/11 truth, all of my conclusions feel logical and simple, and that’s why I am ultimately convinced that my position is sound and probably correct.

I am slowly moving the staples of my diet from animals to raw fruit and vegetables. Just looking at many of the people on youtube promoting these diets is shaping my opinion. The pretty freelea the banana girl and her sturdy boyfriend Durian Rider indicate that their diets seem sound.

It’s with this prelude that I snapped and had to comment on the above trailer billboard. If these farmers presumably eat what they’re promoting, then I am more likely to avoid their product based on their appearance. I don’t want to look like them, so I will avoid what they’re eating.

Sadly, they look like a growing majority of the population. Something is wrong with what that majority is eating.

Big Hospital Finally telling the truth about Cancer, Johns Hopkins | Wausau News

I don’t necessarily believe the source of the story, but I do believe its essence. I believe it’s the lack of nutrition in our foods and our poor choices that leads to the toxic nature of our body’s chemistry. This toxic stew then lends itself to a cancerous environment.

AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE ONLY WAY TO TRY AND ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHNS HOPKINS IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN ALTERNATIVE WAY …

1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.
