Bernie kill shot and oil is the devil’s excrement

If you associate Bernie for president 2020 with socialism approaching communism, which most do, then watching this look at the destroyed state of Venezuela will swing you hard to the right.

A good part of the video includes a quote from the Oil Minister of Venezuela from the 1960s. He states, “ten years from now, twenty years from now, you will see; oil will bring us ruin. Oil is the Devil’s excrement.”

My guess is that the US would rather have Venezuela look like Colombia, which appears to be at the other side of the spectrum.

Both countries are sad cases compared to here, but it looks like Venezuela’s situation is more dire.

Fertility crash

This is the biggest problem of the modern world – and will continue to be so until robots get really good.

The article itself is loaded with insight, and I will offer just one gleaned therefrom and offer one criticism: In the United States, fertility rates have dropped from 2.12 children per woman to 1.72 today, and this has happened in the last 13 years. Such a rapid decline is dangerous and unprecedented. Most of the 5,700 words are centered around economics, but the United States is not alone – Hispanics are right there with us, Mexico experiencing a similar decline. The situation in South Korea is critical.

Podcast tech tip for resetting android radio connections

If you have an android car stereo for BT streaming (and who doesn’t these days) and are having problems playing certain podcast episodes, here a solution.

The title of the podcast episode may have a special character (like a ‰x) or be too long. This will cause the display to crash, and that may freeze or reset the whole device.

I’ve also had trouble with long podcast descriptions with special characters in the rss feed crashing devices and podcast players.

The less you put in the title and feed, the better your feed will perform in this buggy software world.

This took me quite some time to figure out. I even had to listen to a horrible podcast. on the subject to figure it out.
